# Sangtraan - Running a 50,000-Member Discord Community

Some journeys aren't measured in salary, but in the number of people you've touched. For me, the **Sangtraan** Discord was exactly that kind of journey - where I learned that running a community isn't about managing numbers, but about carrying the trust of tens of thousands of people.

## The beginning: 27 April 2025

I began working with **Sangtraan** on **27 April 2025**. From day one, I understood this wasn't just a "community job" - it was a commitment to an ecosystem growing by the hour, where every decision directly shaped the experience of tens of thousands of members.

## Four roles - one person, one mission

Throughout my time there, I held **four roles at once**. Each was its own front, and all had to run in sync like a single machine.

### Senior Chief Executive Officer

I owned the **overall direction and operations** of the community: setting growth targets, making the big calls, coordinating the team, and being accountable for the final results. This was the role of pressure - every move had to balance speed of growth against long-term stability.

### Network Ambassador

I was the **face connecting Sangtraan to the outside world**: building partnerships, expanding the network with other communities, and bringing the server to new players. Every relationship was a door to growth.

### Systems Tester & Developer

Behind a smoothly-running community are **countless silent systems**: bots, automation, permissions, channels, and workflows. I **built, tested, and debugged** those systems - keeping everything stable even as member counts surged.

### Community Administrator

I **kept the daily pulse** of the community: managing members, moderating, resolving conflicts, and protecting the shared culture. This was the most human role - where I learned to listen, to stay fair, and to keep a space of tens of thousands safe and positive.

## The result: from 30,000 to nearly 50,000 members in 5 months

In just about **5 months**, the community grew from **30,000 to nearly 50,000 members**. But behind that number is what I'm proudest of: a stable operating system, a healthy community culture, and tens of thousands of people who found a place to belong.

## What stayed with me

In **October 2025**, I closed my chapter with Sangtraan. There were long nights, hard decisions, and the weight of being responsible for so many people - but I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. Sangtraan taught me something that will stay with me forever: **technology is just a tool; what truly builds a community is dedication.**
